Samples from September 27 weresubmitted for analysis by EPA Method l <br /> 602 for benzene, toluene, xylene, and ethylbenzene (BTXE), and for EPA Method F015 <br /> (Modified) for total petroleum hydrocarbcns, gasoline fraction (TPH-G). The sample from <br /> October 22 was submitted for analysis of total lead by Method 7421. <br /> (duality control/quality assurance procedures consisted of a trip blaijk. As a check on the <br /> potential for contamination during sample handling and transport, a laboratory prepared <br /> trip blank was placed into the cooler at the beginning of the day and kept with the other <br /> samples collected until the samples were submitted'to the laboratert;. <br /> F4 <br /> The bailer used io collect,;the samples was thoroughly decontaminated prior to and after <br /> each use to prevent cross contamination cf samples.. The thin nylon line used to lower the <br /> bailer was removed and discarded after use. Decontamination of the bailer consisted of an <br /> initial wash with an alconox/potable water solution followed by a thorough potable water <br /> rinse which was followed by final rinse with distilled water. <br /> All water -purged from the wells and water used to decontaminate equipment was <br /> containerized in 55 gallon drums, which were labeled and left at the site.
