Boring SB13 was drilled by auguring to a depth of only six feet .before refusal was
encountered. Slurry from the adjacent borings SBiO.and SB12 had fused beneath this depth
causing the refusal to advance. Asa.result, boring-SB13 was not sampled and filled in with
''the slurry. ;
2. The reason sample SB7F was measured at'a concentration of 1,600.ppm and sample S137G
was non-detected is because sample S137G was in fact the sample submitted from the sampler
shoe to the mobile lab (Cal Science Labs). This sample actually reached a depth of 18 feet
4 inches instead of the 18 foot depth indicated on the chain-of-custody. Failure to note this
difference of four inches in depth on the chain-of-custody was an error on our part.
3. Only three borings (SB I, SBS, and S136) have detectable levels of hydraulic fluid remaining
in place which amends,paragraph one nage one of our report dated January 19, 1995.
We hope this satisfies your request and allows you to complete your review of the report. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Ronald S. Woodyard Trevor D.
