Boring 51313 was drilled by auguring !o a depth of only six feet before refusal was
cnoounterc;d. Slurry from the adjwlcitt borirngs SRI and 5012 had fused beneath this dcP11t
causing the refusal to advance. MR result,boring 51313 was not sampled and filled iri with
Lite slurry.
2. The reason sample SB7F was measured at a coneertiratumn of 1,600 ppm and sample SB76
was non-detected is b=ause ;ample 5B7G eras in fact the sample submil(ed.froin the sampler
shoo to Elie mobile lab (Cal Scimcc;Labs): 'I7iis sample actually reachol a depth of 18 feet
4 inches instead of the 18 foot depth indicated on.the chain-of-custody. failure to no(e this
difference of four inches in.depth on the chain-of custody was an error on our part,
3. Only three borings(SBI, 3135, and 5136) have detectable levels of hydraulic fluid remaining
in place which amends paragraph one page one of our report dated January 19, 1995;
We hope this satisfies your requeh-t and allows you to complete your review of the, rcporl.
