WORK PLAN <br /> FOR <br /> PunsE II - SUPPLEMENTAL SIVE INVESTIGATION <br /> AND GROUND WATER REMEDIAL PROGRAM <br /> Former Mobil Oil Bulk Plant <br /> 500 East Gaantline Road <br /> Tracy, California <br /> December 20, 1991 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This work plan presents the proposed scope of work to conduct <br /> a supplemental site inv_stigation of subsurface contamination <br /> and a ground water remedial program at former Mobil Oil <br /> Corporation bulk plant at 500 East Grantline Road in Tracy, <br /> California. The proposed scope of work is based on the <br /> results of previous site investigations conducted by Alton <br /> Geoscience, and is intended to address the concerns of the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health services (SJCEHS) <br /> discussed in a letter: to Steve Pao of Mobil Oil Corporation, <br /> dated November 8, 1991• <br /> The primary goals of the proposed investigation and <br /> remediation program are: (1) to further assess the nature and <br /> extent of subsurface c°ntamina-Rterdremediation andlimit <br /> the <br /> site, <br /> the <br /> (2) to provide interim ground <br /> migration of the hydrocarbon contaminated plume, and <br /> (3) develop an appropriate course of action for regulatory <br /> case closure or rewediation. <br /> 2.0 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The former Mobil Oil bulk plant is presently a fenced, vacant <br /> lot, located on the south s33efeetEabavermeanrseane Rl�de�t an <br /> elevation of approximately <br /> (NGVD-1929) . Adjacent properties are either vacant or <br /> commercial and industrial developments. A site viYxnity map <br /> is shown in Figure 1. <br /> 3.0 PROJECT BACKGROUND <br /> Mobil Oil Corporation abandoned the former bulk storage and <br /> distribution plant....in 1988.
