The San Joaquin
County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division well permit application is included
in Appendix A.
Alton Geoscience proposes to destroy rune monitoring wells (AW-1, AW-2, AW-4, and AW-7
through AW-12) (Figure 2). Copies of the well
construction details are provided in Appendix A. The monitoring wells will then be sealed with neat
cement, placed from the bottom of each boring to the surface in one continuous pour using a tremie
pipe. Monitoring wells AW-3, AW-5, and AW-6 will be left in place as directed by the California
Regional Water Quality Control Board Central Valley Region(see letter in Appendix B).
All rinsate and groundwater displaced during the destruction of these wells will be stored onsite in
properly labeled drums until it is properly disposed of at a Mobil-approved licensed disposal
facility.
