Site Code No:: 505486
Dear Ms. Sanborn:
On behalf'of Mr,
Michael McGranahan, trustee in bankruptcy,• Geological Technics Inc. has
g
prepared the following Cost Pre-Approval package for additional site closure work at the former
Moresco Property located at 16865 Gawne Road in Stockton, California. .
On December 27 1999 GTI and.V&W Drilling (C57# 720904) mobilized to the site to abandon
the monitoring well, the vapor extraction well and the three air techarge wells at the site. -This
work was performed according to the workplan submitted on June 7, 1999. A cost pre-approval
was submitted on November 2, 1999. When personnel arrived on site it was discovered that air
recharge well, AR=2; had been paved over by the'new .property owner. The other wells were
abandoned according to plan.
To abandon AR-2 the exact location of the well will need•to be determined, the asphalt will need
to be saw cut and removed, the well can then be abandoned and then the asphalt will be patched.
fThis cost pre-approval is for,the additional work required for locating and abandoning AR-2. C
There are 12 drums of soil cuttings that were added to the site from the'drillouts of MW-1 and
VEW-1. We have' included cost estimates to remove and properly dispose of these drums.
Combined with theprevious drums stored on the property, there are a total of 41 drums (35 soil
and 6 purge and decon water). '
Proposed Bidding of Pr9ject
The opinion of cost spreadsheet is attached and shows itemized costs for the proposed tasks. In
an attempt to make this Pre-Approval flow smoothly, we have used the same unit costs for this
work that has previously been approved by the USTCFP.
Geological Technics Inc. accepts-field support services and lab invoices and adds a 15%
overhead fee.
