Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Re: Addendum to Work Plan
Fortner Mwesco Property
16865 Gawne Road,Stw Mon,California Project Na.251.2
Dear Mr.Knoll:
pn beh&of Mr. McGranahan, Geological Technics Inc. conducted a site investigation on
April 5-7,1995 in order to evaluate the vertical and hofmmtal extent of soil contamination
sourced from a former suspected leaking underground storage tank located at the 16865
Gown Road site.
Soil testing data from the four boreholes show that gasoline is still present in the sod at 60
feet in SB-1 drilled through the former UST excavation (site map and data table attached).
Based on this preliminary information we recoaunend that the vadose zone below 60 feet
beneath the former excavation be investigated further. Therefore we propose to drill a
second boring adjacent to existing SB-1. We propose to advance the new boring 684A)to
a depth of 100-105 feet below surface grade. Depth to groundwater was measured in the
domestic well (located approximately 200 feet to the northeast) to be approximately 110
feet blow grade on April 7,1995.
Because soil samples were collected down to 60 feet in 58-1 we propose that soil samples
be collected at five foot intervals beginning at 50 feet. All other aspects will be performed
as proposed in the March 14, 1995 Work Plan.
We expect to be on site between$:00-9:00 on Friday April 21,1995 and would expect to be
ready to grout the boring around or shortly after noon. I can call your office from the field
with updates to accommodate your schedule.
If you have any questions please contact myself or Ray Kablanow.
Respectfully,
GEOLOGICAL TFC C.
Tim McDonald
Geologist
CRc: M.MCGranahan
