The State Water Resource Control Board(SWRCB) will invoice <br /> YOU directly for activities performed under the auspices of the Local UST Oversight Program. <br /> The goal of the site evaluation performed by Public Health Services Environmental Health <br /> Division (PHS/EHD) is to certify closures of underground tank leakage sites. Closure <br /> certification occurs only after mitigation activities are completed. <br /> In addition, the"Regional Board Staff Recommendations For Initial Evaluation and Investigation <br /> of Underground Tanks" and "Appendix A" reporting format and the LUFT Manual shall be <br /> utilized as guidance documents in the preparation of work plans and/or reports. <br /> From previous work at this site as an"Environmental Assessment"Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons <br /> as gasoline (TPHg) including volatile constituent(Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Xylene; <br /> BTEX) contaminants have been detected in the soil to a depth in excess of 59 feet below grade <br /> (soil borings) in the previous underground tank pit area. No "zero" line of delineation exists for .. <br /> r soil contamination at this site at this time as required by PHS-EHD. <br /> You are here d ncted to submit a workplan that willpropose investi <br /> � by �p investigative techniques <br /> that will provide adequate data to delineate soil and/or potential groundwater <br /> contamination at this site. An adequate number of borings and, if necessary, monitoring wells <br /> will be proposed along with soil and groundwater sampling to ensure that this phase of the <br /> investigation will be considered a diligent attempt to investigate and remediate the unauthorized <br /> petroleum releases documented at this site. <br /> Please submit the required workplan to PHS-EHD by September 15, 1995. <br /> A Division of San Joaquin County Health Can Services <br />
