KLEINFELDER
15) Rationale why conditions remaining at site will not adversely impact water quality, health,
or other beneficial uses,
iThe source of contamination was mitigated with the removal of the 12,000-gallon gasoline UST
in May 1&,2000 The contaminant plume is stable and localized near the vicinity of the former
UST. Waters of the State or other receptors are not likely to have been impacted. Petroleum
1 hydrocarbon concentrations in the groundwater have met water quality objectives.
Based on analytical results, MTBE has been the primary constituent of concern in the
groundwater. Currently, MTBE concentrations are below the secondary maximum
contamination level(MCL)established at S ug/1L(water quality objective). Downgradient well
MW-1 has been below the water quality objective for four consecutive quarterly monitoring
events since April 2004. MW-2 has been below the water quality objective for five quarterly
monitoring events since October 2000. MW-3 has been below the water quality objective for
six quarterly monitoring events since June 2000. Downgrad>ent and deep well MW-4 has been
below the water quality objective for four consecutive quarterly monitoring events since it was
installed in April 2004. Attached is a MTBE concentration versus time concentration chart.
49014-1/SAC5R423 Page 16 of 17 June 30,2005
Copynght 2005 Klemfelder,Inc
