Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report—Third Quarter 2004, California <br /> Highway Patrol Facility, 385 West Grant Line Road, Tracy, California, Site Code: <br /> ' 1904 <br /> Dear Mr Ueda <br /> This report summarizes the results of Winzler& Kelly Consulting Engineers (Winzler& Kelly) <br /> third quarter 2004 groundwater monitoring and sampling activities performed on August 13, 2004, <br /> ' at the California Highway Patrol facility (site) located at 385 West Grant Line Road, in Tracy, <br /> California (Figures 1 and 2) <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING AND SAMPLING ACTIVITIES <br /> The Site-Specific Sampling Procedures, provided in Appendix A, describe in detail all of the <br /> monitoring and sampling activities that were performed at the site on August 13, 2004 A brief <br /> summary of these activities is provided below <br /> ' Personnel Present- Winzler& Kelly's technician, Brian Bacciarini, performed all the <br /> groundwater monitoring and sampling activities <br /> Depth-to-Water- An electronic water level meter was used to measure the depth-to- <br /> groundwater in each monitoring well after allowing the groundwater <br /> in each well to equilibrate to atmospheric pressure <br /> 1 Purging An electronic 12-volt submersible pump was used to purge each of <br /> the monitoring wells sampled until the indicator parameters of pH, <br /> conductivity, and temperature had stabilized or until the well <br /> dewatered <br /> I� Monitoring Well Sampling: New disposable bailers were used to collect and transfer the <br /> groundwater samples from each of the monitoring wells MW-1 <br /> through MW-4 into the appropriate, laboratory-supplied, certified <br /> clean sample containers <br /> 495 Tesconi Circle,Santa Rosa,CA 95401 4696 <br /> tel 707 523 1010 fax 707 527 8679 <br /> www w and k corn <br />
