1 t <br /> 1 <br /> 0 Treadwell&Wlo <br /> 1 generally to the north toward the Old River branch of the San Joaquin River (SJC, 1996) The <br /> top of groundwater was reported to have been encountered at approximately 10 feet below <br /> 1 ground surface (bgs) (AGE, 2000) However, groundwater at the Site was later found to be at <br /> approximately 6 to 6 5 feet bgs during the construction of the existing Sherwin Williams <br /> 1 building and storm water basin in 2001-2002 (Bird, 2003) <br /> 1 The soil samples collected below the groundwater (10 feet or deeper) and the groundwater grab <br /> samples were chemically analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) as gasoline, diesel <br /> ' and motor oil, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes (BTEX), and methyl tertiary butyl <br /> ether(MTBE) Most compounds, except MTBE, were detected in the majority of the samples <br /> 1 collected with the highest levels detected in groundwater at B-4 near the west central portion of <br /> the Site (adjacent to the Tracy Express Wash & Lube site) The results are summarized as <br /> 1 follows <br /> 1 Soil @ 10 feet bgs <br /> * No petroleum compounds were detected above the reporting limit in B-1 and B-2, <br /> 1 * TPH-gasoline was detected between 55 to 2,800 arts per million m in B-3 to B-6 <br /> P p (ppm) > <br /> 1 * TPH-diesel was detected between 12 to 520 ppm in B-3 to B-6, <br /> * TPH-motor oil was detected at 8 and 9 6 ppm at B-5 and B-4, respectively, <br /> 1 * Benzene was detected at 6 3 and 0 16m at B-4 and B-6 respectively, <br /> PP � P Y, <br /> 1 * Toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes were detected in B-3 to B-6, and <br /> * No MTBE was detected above the reporting liimt <br /> 1 Soil @ I S eet bgs <br /> 1 * No petroleum compounds were detected above the reporting limit in the two samples <br /> analyzed (B-1 and B-4) <br /> 1 <br /> Site Assessment Report 6 22 May 2003 <br /> ' TREADWELL &ROLLO, INC. <br />
