Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95201-0388 <br /> Re: Well Search Report <br /> Former Chevron Service Station #9-8632 <br /> 575 Grant Line Road <br /> Tracy, California <br /> Dear Mr. Knoll : <br /> SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR) has prepared this letter on behalf of Chevron <br /> Products Company (Chevron) to document a search conducted to locate water wells in the <br /> vicinity of the Former Chevron Service Station #9-8632, located at 575 Grant Line Road in <br /> Tracy, California (Figure 1). The scope of work and procedures are outlined and discussed <br /> below . <br /> Well Search <br /> On June 4, 2001 , SECOR personnel performed a water well search to identify the location <br /> of permitted water supply wells within a one-mile radius of the site. The water well search <br /> consisted ofexamining thfi e)sof-the California Depai ment of Water Resources (DWRj. - <br /> Two wells were identified within the one-mile radius of the subject site. According to the <br /> documentation the closest well is located near the intersection of Grantline Road and Tracy <br /> Boulevard. SECOR personnel made attempts to match the well owner and the correct <br /> property by doing a search with the San Joaquin County Assessors office and a physical <br /> survey of the area (described below). An exact location could not to be determined. DWR <br /> well search data is summarized in Table 1 . <br /> Neighborhood Well Survey <br /> In order to determine the location of undocumented wells, a SECOR representative <br /> conducted a door-to-door survey of the area. On July 27, 2001 , SECOR's representative <br /> went to businesses, commercial buildings, and personal residences within a 2,000-foot <br /> radius of the site to interview property owners or residents about possible wells on their <br /> property. If the property owner or resident was not present at the time of the survey, a well <br /> survey form, along with a self-addressed envelope was left in their mailbox .
