SECOR <br /> RFrEEU International Incorporated <br /> JUL 3 0 ZOOZ <br /> July 26, 2002 <br /> HEALTH <br /> Project 77 CH 43578 00 0203 ENPERMIM5ERVICES <br /> Mr Harlin Knoll <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95201-0388 <br /> Re Site Assessment Report <br /> Former Chevron Service Station 9-8632 <br /> 575 Grant Line Road <br /> Tracy, California <br /> Dear Mr Knoll <br /> SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR) on behalf of Chevron Products Company <br /> (Chevron) presents the results of assessment activities at the above-referenced site <br /> (Figure 1) The assessment activities consisted of the drilling and installation of four <br /> groundwater monitoring wells (two shallow and two deep) The purpose of this <br /> assessment was to further delineate hydrocarbon impacts laterally and vertically at the <br /> site <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The site is a former service station located at 575 Grant Line Road in Tracy, California <br /> The site is currently a used car lot (Imperial Leasing Ltd ) located in a mixed light <br /> commercial and residential area (Figure 2) <br /> Additional site investigation information is summarized in Attachment A <br /> SITE ASSESSMENT ACTIVITIES AND FINDINGS <br /> On February 13 and 14, 2002, SECOR supervised Gregg Drilling and Testing, <br /> Incorporated (Gregg) of Martinez, California, as they advanced two soil bonngs MW- <br /> 6A and MW-7 to approximately 20 feet below ground surface (bgs) and two soil borings <br /> MW-5 and MW-6B to approximately 50 feet bgs at the general locations shown on <br /> Figure 2 Upon completion of drilling, a 2-inch diameter groundwater monitoring well <br /> was installed in each of the borings with approximately 15 feet of screen in the shallow <br /> wells and approximately 5 feet of screen in the deep wells Field procedures are <br /> presented in Attachment B <br /> 3017 Kilgore Road, Suite 100, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 916 861 0400 916 861 0430 Far www secor com <br />
