Chevron <br /> a Chevron <br /> t� <br /> a <br /> Chevron Products Company <br /> March 2, 1997 6001 Bollinger Canyon Road <br /> Building L <br /> San Ramon CA 94583 <br /> P 0 Box 6004 <br /> San Ramon CA 94583-0904 <br /> Mr Harlin Knoll <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services Marketing—Sales West <br /> P O Box 388 Phone 510 842 9500 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201-0388 <br /> I <br /> Re Former Chevron Station#9-8632 575 Grantline Rd Tracv, CA <br /> Attached Groundwater Monitoring Report(Blaine Tech, 12/2/96) <br /> Dear Mr Knoll <br /> Attached you will find a report dated December 2, 1996 which was prepared by Chevron's consultant, <br /> Blaine Tech Services (Blaine Tech), to describe the results of groundwater monitoring that was performed <br /> at the subject site on November 5 1996 <br /> During the November site monitoring event Blaine Tech gauged and sampled all four site-related wells <br /> Samples from each well were analyzed for the presence of TPHGas, TPHDiesel, BTEX constituents, and <br /> MTBE Samples from well MW-1 were also analyzed for HVOC's, SVOC's, soluble metals, and total oil <br /> and grease The measured groundwater flow direction was northwesterly This is consistent with previous <br /> flow direction measurements <br /> There were reported detections of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons at each well The reported <br /> concentrations were similar to those detected during previous monitoring events Unidentified <br /> hydrocarbons within the diesel range of analysis were reported at all wells MTBE was detected at wells <br /> MW-1 through MW-3 only There was no MTBE detected at well MW-4 There were no detectable <br /> concentrations of HVOC's, SVOC's or total oil and grease at well MW-1 There were 60 ppb of Zinc <br /> detected in groundwater at well MW-1 All other metals were non-detect <br /> Chevron has negotiated access to the sump pump located on the adjacent property to the north The <br /> purpose of this access is to provide a sampling location which will allow for the evaluation of groundwater <br /> conditions downgradient from the subject site The sump pump extracts groundwater from horizontal pipe <br /> buried at ten feet below ground surface The surface location of the pump is approximately one hundred <br /> and ninety five feet downgradient from well MW-2 Chevron proposes to sample groundwater from this <br /> location on a quarterly frequency <br /> If you have any questions or comments, please contact me at(510) 842-8695 <br /> Sincerely, <br />• Brett L Hunter <br /> Environmental Engineer <br /> Site Assessment and Remediation <br /> E <br />
