Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) <br /> SW-846 method 5030/8015B;benzene,toluene,ethyl benzene, total xylenes (BTEX) <br /> by EPA SW 846 method 802113; 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA), 1,2-dibromoethane <br /> (EDB),methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), diisopropyl ether (RIPE), tertiary-amyl <br /> methyl ether (TAME), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE), tertiary-butyl alcohol <br /> (IBA),methanol, and ethanol by EPA SW-846 method 8260B. <br /> COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS: <br /> 1. Submit a drilling permit application and$89.00 fee to Environmental Health <br /> Department (EHD). <br /> 2. Obtain an encroachment permit from the City of Tracy and provide a copy of the <br /> permit to EHD. <br /> 3. Notify EHD at least 72 hours prior to the proposed scheduled work date. <br /> 4. Based on the findings from the CPT borings,it may be necessary to collect deeper <br /> soil samples for laboratory analysis from one or more of the additional shallow <br /> borings to demonstrate the vertical extent of impacted soil. <br /> 5. EHD recommends that lithological evaluation also occur during the advancement of <br /> the northern-most CPT boring to compare lithological variation between the north <br /> and south CPT borings and to properly obtain groundwater samples from the <br /> northern-most CPT boring as there are at least 100.feet between the two CPT boring i <br /> locations. <br /> 6. Report 1,2-DCA and EDB at concentrations as low as 0.5 micrograms per liter <br /> (µg/L) in groundwater,if possible. <br /> 7.
