The
County has specified that an extraction well be placed within the tank pit. The
downgradient extraction well location has also been moved westward about 30 feet
to be close' to the tankpit with respect to contaminant levels and possibly varying,
groundwater flow conditions (Figure 2).
This fourth well (MW-8) will be drilled, sampled, and installed in the same manner,
and with the sarne tools and materials as the other wells within this project. These
tools, processes, and materials are described in the previously submitted, April 20,
1995 workplan. MW-8 will be a 4 inch well installed with the idea of possibly
removing free product or groundwater from MW-8 as part of a remediation system.
Please call us at (510)4~39-1024 if you have any questions or comments.
ti Sincerely,
PARKER ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
jamas D.
