The site is currently used as a <br /> convenience store facility and retails gasoline under the name Cheaper! #37. <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> Two_gasoline,tanks were removed.from the property on March 3, 1988. <br /> Groundwater,was,7-feet-below-grade_surface (BGS). The tank excavation was <br /> emptied and water was sampled prior to the new tank installation. Three <br /> groundwater monitoring wells were installed in April, 1988, and a fourth well in <br /> May, 1988. Water sample analysis in May, 1988, showed TPH-g at 140 µg/L and <br /> benzene at 2.7µg/L. <br /> Monitoring well sampling was done in September, 1992. Free product <br /> (approximately one inch) was found in MW-4, which is by the tanks near the store <br /> front. MW-2 had a soil blockage at six feet BGS. Tph-g was present in MW-1 (220 <br /> µg/L), benzene in MW-1 (2.1 µg/L) and MW-3 (0.7 µg/L), toluene and xylenes in j <br /> both, and ethylbenzene..in.MW-1 .only.
