Petroleum hydrocarbon <br /> contamination was present in two water samples collected from the open <br /> 1 r <br /> I4 excavation after the removal of two underground fuel storage tanks. The <br /> San Joaquin Local Health District (SJLHD) requested an assessment of the <br /> t <br /> i„ extent of petroleum hydrocarbon contamination. <br /> ° s <br /> { F <br /> Ground water samples werecollected from three monitoring we <br /> US <br /> on the site. Analytical results indicate <br /> r <br /> contamination is not .present in the samples, The petroleum hydrocarbon <br /> f <br /> b pile of excavated soil I <br /> was assessed for potential disposal alternatives. Petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> were detected in a portion of the pile.
