Box 886 <br /> Benicia, California 94510 <br /> Subject: Food & Liquor Store 37 <br /> Tank Excavation dater Sampling <br /> Excavated Soil Screening <br /> Dear Mr. Johnson, <br /> The Customer Company contracted Kleinfelder to collect soil anc/or water <br /> samples afterremoval of two underground tanks at Food and Liquor Store <br /> 37, 15 East Grantline Road, Tracy, California (Plate 1). The sampling was <br /> t conducted as specified by the San Joaquin Local Health District (S.7LHD). <br /> Enclosed are analyty.cal results. for water samples collected from the open <br /> tank excavation. <br /> Water-Samples s <br /> On March 3, 1988,. water samples were collected from two locations <br /> within <br /> the excavation as requested by Mr. Jaime Favila, the SJLHD <br /> " x'epzesentative: Ground .water was encountered in the excavation at <br /> approximately 7. feet. Mr. Favila requested only water samples be <br /> collected because of the s1: .13.ow <br /> ground water. <br /> Water .Sample 1 was collected from the east side of the excavation where <br /> 4' ground water entered from the east wall and pooled in a small area above <br /> } the : bottom of the excavation at a depth of. 7:feet. Water.Samp}e 2 was <br /> collected at a depth of 7.5 feet from the water in the bottom of the <br /> excavation, below the leaded gasoline rank. The two sample locations are <br /> > shown on Plate 2. <br /> samples 1 and 2-were submitted under chain-of-custody to Enseco-California 1 <br /> ir?
