On March 3, 1986, an unleaded fuel tank and a . <br /> regular fuel tank were. excavated and removed from the site (see Plate 2). <br /> Chemical analyser of soil . samplesindicated petroleumhydrocarbon <br /> contamination was present in the soil. <br /> �.. Approximately. . 100 cubic-yards ofsoil was excavated and stock piled during <br /> } :+ the tank. removal. The soil pile was characterized and covered with . <br /> k plastic to prevent uncontrolled aeration. Approximately 50 yards of 'soil <br /> with a total petroleum hydrocarbon concentration-of less than 100_mg/kg <br /> has been transported` to Forward. Landfill in San Joaquin ..County.for <br /> disposal.
