Project 113-26-04, 05, Page 1 November 17,1995 L INTRODUCTION The following text, tables, figures and appendices represents Parker Environmental Services' (Parker) report of environmental site investigation methods and findings for the property located at 15 Grant Line Road, Tracy, California ("the site") The purpose of the site investigation activities documented herein was to evaluate the vertical and lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in the soil and groundwater The previously detected contaminants are related to an on site and/or off site underground storage tank (UST) or pipeline systems containing gasoline. The collection and analysis of subsurface groundwater and/or soil samples was performed at seventeen out of eighteen new data collection locations. This investigation evaluated on site and off site soil and groundwater conditions. The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division is the lead agency for the site and project IL SITE DESCRIPTION The project site measures 0 61 acres and is located on the northeast corner the intersection of East Grant Line Road and Holly Drive in Tracy, California (Figure 1 Site Location Map). E Grant Line Road becomes West Grant Line Rd at the intersection with Holly Dr The site is currently used as a compact mass merchant with retail gasoline facilities (Figure 2 Site Plan, Sample Data). This facility was constructed in 1968 and the original USTs consisted of two 10,000 gallon single wall steel tanks The site surface is entirely covered by the building, paved parking, and landscaping. Adjacent properties to the east, across Holly Drive to the west, and across E. Grant Line Rd to the south from the site are commercial properties East from the site is a medical office building Adjacent and to the west is a used car lot (former gas station) along with auto service shops South and southwest from the site are a restaurant and an auto stereo shop (former gas station), respectively Immediately north of the site is a church Other properties along E. Grant Line Road to the east and West Grant Line Road to the west are home to commercial businesses. Properties north and south of those at the intersection of Holly Dr. and E. Grant Line Rd are residential properties On the northwest and southwest corners of the intersection of E. Grant Line Rd and Holly Dr. were gas stations which are no longer in service, but which were the focus of the investigation of possible off site contaminant sources Another possible off site contaminant source is Chevron's underground fuel pipeline running east-west under E.
