Project 113-26-04, 05, Page 1 <br /> November 17,1995 <br /> L INTRODUCTION <br /> The following text, tables, figures and appendices represents Parker Environmental <br /> Services' (Parker) report of environmental site investigation methods and findings <br /> for the property located at 15 Grant Line Road, Tracy, California ("the site") The <br /> purpose of the site investigation activities documented herein was to evaluate the <br /> vertical and lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in the soil and groundwater <br /> The previously detected contaminants are related to an on site and/or off site <br /> underground storage tank (UST) or pipeline systems containing gasoline. The <br /> collection and analysis of subsurface groundwater and/or soil samples was <br /> performed at seventeen out of eighteen new data collection locations. This <br /> investigation evaluated on site and off site soil and groundwater conditions. The <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division is the lead agency for the site <br /> and project <br /> IL SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The project site measures 0 61 acres and is located on the northeast corner the <br /> intersection of East Grant Line Road and Holly Drive in Tracy, California (Figure 1 <br /> Site Location Map). E Grant Line Road becomes West Grant Line Rd at the <br /> intersection with Holly Dr The site is currently used as a compact mass merchant <br /> with retail gasoline facilities (Figure 2 Site Plan, Sample Data). This facility was <br /> constructed in 1968 and the original USTs consisted of two 10,000 gallon single wall <br /> steel tanks The site surface is entirely covered by the building, paved parking, and <br /> landscaping. <br /> Adjacent properties to the east, across Holly Drive to the west, and across E. Grant <br /> Line Rd to the south from the site are commercial properties East from the site is a <br /> medical office building Adjacent and to the west is a used car lot (former gas station) <br /> along with auto service shops South and southwest from the site are a restaurant <br /> and an auto stereo shop (former gas station), respectively Immediately north of the <br /> site is a church Other properties along E. Grant Line Road to the east and West <br /> Grant Line Road to the west are home to commercial businesses. Properties north <br /> and south of those at the intersection of Holly Dr. and E. Grant Line Rd are <br /> residential properties On the northwest and southwest corners of the intersection of <br /> E. Grant Line Rd and Holly Dr. were gas stations which are no longer in service, but <br /> which were the focus of the investigation of possible off site contaminant sources <br /> Another possible off site contaminant source is Chevron's underground fuel <br /> pipeline running east-west under E.
