Box 886 <br /> Benicia, CA 94510 <br /> Subject: Interim Report on Subsurface Investigation Work at Cheaper! #37, 15 <br /> East Grant Line Road, Tracy, California <br /> Dear Mr Johnson. <br /> Parker Environmental Services is pleased to provide this interimletter report <br /> concerning the subsurface investigation work completed at Cheaper! #37, as <br /> outlined by our work plan dated December 4, 1992_ All work described in the work <br /> plan has been completed and is described in this report. <br /> rThe purpose of the work is to determine the vertical and lateral extent of soil <br /> containing petroleum hydrocarbons. Tlus investigation only evaluated on-site soil <br /> and water conditions. <br /> The scope of work for this project included conducting seven soil borings, collecting <br /> soil and water samples from each boring, and preparing a subsurface investigation <br />' report. <br /> I. Introduction and Site History <br /> The project site is located on the north side of East Grant Line Road, approximately 1 <br /> mules south of Interstate 205. Two 10,000-gallon gasoline tanks were removed from <br /> the property on March 3, 1988, by Califonua Petroleum Equipment Company. <br /> Groundwater was 7 feet below grade surface (BGS). The tank excavation was de- <br /> watered and sampled prior to the new tank installation Soil samples showed a high <br /> concentration of 30 ppm. TPH-g and the water sample showed 15 ppm TPH-g. <br /> Three groundwater monitoring wells were installed by Kleinfelder in April, 1988, <br /> and a fourth well in May, 1988.
