This <br /> work plan is an intogral part of THE ENVIRONMENTAL CONSTRUCTION <br /> COMPANY'S proposal to perform a Phase II Soil and Groundwater <br /> Contamination Assessment on the property described above. <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is a retail video sales and rental store located in the <br /> east-central portion of Tracey, California. Adjacent properties <br /> include a retail gasoline <br /> ne station, restaurants, <br /> t a d rust. <br /> complexes. Figure 1 is a regional <br /> site mapof the immediate area. The Union Island A U.S.Geological <br /> Survey 7 .5 Minute Topographic Quadrangle map with a scale of 1:2000 <br /> was used for this figure. The general area is underlain by <br /> Holocene alluvium river, lake, playa and terrace deposits, mostly <br /> unconsolidated to semi-consolidated non-marine sediments sihe site <br /> itself is underlain by a grayish-brown to medium-brown, tifz. clay <br /> to a depot of 1 foot Belo-.,i surface grade; <br /> below this is a graylsh- <br /> ta <br /> brown, stiff clay to a del of 2 feet. Underneath nish-brown, <br /> lies approximately 4 feet of light to medium dark, <br /> damp, slightly plastic clay; below this layer lies at leas: 4 feet <br /> tannish-brown, very fine <br /> of mosit to very moist grayish-tan to <br /> grained clayey sand that contains occasional pebbles.
