August 21, 1989
11r. Joe dell
333 W. Santa Clara St.
San Jose, Ca. 95126
Subject: LI11ITED SUBSURFACE SOIL INVESTIGATION
275 Grantline Road
Tracy, California
Dear 11r. Ffell,
A Limited Subsurface Soil Investigation was performed by The
ENVIRONtdENTAL CONSTRUCTION COHPANY (TFCC) at the subject site.
This report outlines the results of the findings. Included in
this report are the chemical analyses results of the soil samples
collected from the site, and a summary of the field activities
and field observations.
It was reported to TECO that underground fuel storage tanks
formerly existed on the site. On July 18, 1989, TECO performed a
`.: reconnaissance of the subject site. A concrete slab was observed
in a parking area and just north of an existing building on the
site. The Current tenant of the site indicated to TFCC that, to
the best of his knowledge, the underground storage tanks
previously existed in the approximate location of the concrete
slab (see Plate 1) . He reportedly believed that the tanks had
been removed from the site in 1971. The tenant claims that no
underground storage tanks currently exist on the site. He also
stated that he was not aware of the details of the former tanks
{e.g. construction materials, orientation, etc. } nor knowledge of
the tank removal activities. There was no obvious evidence of
the current existence of underground storage facilities on the
site.
1
