INTRODUCTION <br /> This propcsai describes the work excavate, transport, and <br /> dispose automotive waste oil-contaminated subsurface soil <br /> materials, and, in turn, backfill the excavation with clean <br /> imported fill. The contamination of the subsurface materials is <br /> believed to be a result of an unauthorized discharge from an <br /> underground automotive waste oil tank, formerly on the site. <br /> These remediation actions are part of the requirements by the <br /> California Regional Water Quality Control Board--Central Valley <br /> Region (RWQCB) and the San Joaquin County Public Health services <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The subject site is located within the city limits of Tracy. <br /> California (see Plate 1, Site Location Map) . Land use of the <br /> area surrounding the site appears to be a combination of <br /> residences, and commercial businesses. Grantline Roar' and <br /> E:1trada Way border the southern and east sides of the site <br /> respectively. Apartments border the western and northern I <br /> portions of the site. A gasoline station is located <br /> approximately 200 feet south east of the site, across Grantline <br /> Road. <br /> The site appears to be a <br /> randmthely 10,000 square feet in size. <br /> The topography of the site <br /> appear to be relatively flat. Abuld ng land anunding atta hedea <br /> overhead canopy currently exist on the site (see Plate <br /> j Schematic). Parking areas of the site are 2, Site <br /> concrete materials.
