aT <br /> 22210 <br /> i <br /> SECTION 1 <br /> t . <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> PURPOSE AND POLICY <br /> The purpose of this safety plan is to establish personnel <br /> protection standards and mandatory safety practices and procedures <br /> for all work conducted for the monitor well installation project at <br /> 275 Grantline Road, 'Tracey, California. The plan assigns <br /> responsibility; establishes standard operating procedures, and <br /> provides for contingencies that may arise while operations are <br /> being conducted at UST sites. <br /> Theprovisions of the plan are mandatory for all field, on-site <br /> 1 personnel. All TFCC personnel will abide by this plan. Any <br /> supplement plans used by subcontractors shall at least conform to <br /> this plan. All personnel who engage in project activities must be <br /> familiar with this plan and comply with its requirements. <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION AND HISTORY <br /> The site is presently a video sales/rental store. Its past use <br /> was a retail gasoline service station. The well and soil boring <br /> installation is part of a Phase II contamination assessment prior <br /> to a final remedial investigation. <br /> SCOPE OF.WORK <br /> The field tasks to be performed include the installation of <br /> three monitoring wells and 4 soil borings, and the collection of <br /> water and soil samples for contamination assessment purposes. <br /> PROJECT TEAM ORGANIZATION <br /> Table 1.1 describes the responsibilities of all on-site <br /> personnel associated with this project.
