Determination of, the -Direction 'of, Groundwater Flow <br /> and <br /> Flow Rate <br /> at the <br /> Pestana Trust Property , r <br /> '275 Grant Line Road`, Tracy, CA - <br /> A transit survey was performed- .at the subject site to <br /> determine the relative elevations of the well heads of the <br /> three groundwater monitoring wells at the -,subject site .' <br /> The purpose...of the survey was to determine the direction of <br /> groundwater flow . Light , noxi-aqueous phase liquids <br /> ( LNAPLs') have been detected in shallow_ groundwater at the <br /> site and may be migrating as a. plume , as' well as ' dissolving <br /> in the water., and volatilizing . <br /> The flow of water in a -saturated porous medium such as -soil <br /> is defined by Darcy ' s _ Law.
