Quarterly Summary <br /> ary Report JUL 2 6 1993 <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br /> The Pestana Trust Property PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> 275 Grant Line Road, Tracy , CA <br /> SJCo PHS/EHD Site #2435 <br /> SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br /> The subject site is located in an area of mixed commercial , <br /> residential , and light-industrial usage in the northeastern <br /> portion of the City of Tracy (San Joaquin County) , CA. <br /> It is a rectangular parcel consisting of approximately <br /> 17 ,070 square feet . The site is paved in asphalt and <br /> contains one, single-story building that originally housed <br /> the office and service bays for a retail fuel service <br /> station. In recent years , the building has been uaed by a <br /> variety of small , repair and rental businesses . The site <br /> is presently vacant and unused. <br /> SITE GEOLOGY AND GEOHYDROLOGY <br /> • The Water Works Corp . reported in a September , 1991 <br /> document prepared for property also located at East Street <br /> and Grant Line Road that the subject intersection is <br /> located on (essentially) level terrain underlain by <br /> Pleistocene and Holocene age flood plain deposits composed <br /> of sediments similar to, and probably conformable to <br /> underlying deposits of alluvium and the Tulare formation. <br /> The flood plain deposits are light to dark-brown and grey <br /> clay, silty sand, and organic materials with locally high <br /> concentrations of salt and alkali . Stream channel deposits <br /> of sand and gravel are also present . <br /> I <br /> Groundwater is less than ten feet below grade throughout <br /> most of the Tracy area . Groundwater flow is generally to <br /> the north. The flood plain deposits of the shallow water <br /> bearing zone have well developed soil profiles and poor <br /> permeability. The base of this zone is poorly defined and <br /> probably is from five to twenty feet below ground surface. <br /> I <br /> OVERVIEW OF PAST ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE ACTIVITIES <br /> PERFORMED AT THE SITE <br /> I <br /> In their March, 1993 Report of Findings , Applied <br /> Environmental Solutions , Inc . (AES) of San Jose, CA <br /> indicated that detectable concentrations of Total Petroleum <br /> Page 2 <br />
