f
S
KLEINFELDER
I
I
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY l
Li
_ This document is a proposal to collect ground water and soil samples at 298 Grantline
Road, Tracy, California, a property owned by Jordan Real Estate. This property had been j
operated as a gas station from 1960 through 1980. On April 5, 1988, four unused
underground storage tanks were excavated. Although product had been removed from the ,
tanks years earlier, petroleum odors were noted during tank removal. Soil and ground
I water samples taken at that time showed evidence of contamination. The samples were not
collected in accordance with accepted standards and; therefore, the results may not be an
accurate reflection of soil or ground water contamination. New soil and ground water
samples will be collected, analyzed, and compared to previous results to assess the
presence of contamination.
The installation of ground water monitoring wells is proposed to provide an initial
assessment of ground water quality. Soil samples will be taken to assess soil contamination.
The San Joaquin Local Health District (SJLHD) requires that a proposal be submitted for .
approval.
L }
4
j
h f
121-88-1108 1 1
