QUARTERLY REPORT <br /> May 1996 <br /> W.T. Jordan Property <br /> ' 298 West Grant Line Road <br /> ' Tracy, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> In accordance with a request from Mr William Jordan,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) <br /> has prepared this Quarterly Report summarizing activ3txes performed at 298 West Grant Line Road, <br /> Tracy, California for the second quarter of 1996 The scope of work included the installation of three <br /> ground water monitoring wells with collection of soil and ground water samples, which was <br /> ' performed on 17 May 1996, and quarterly ground water monitoring of all six wells, which was <br /> conducted on 17 June 1996 The location of the site on illustrated in Figure 1 -Location Map A plan <br /> of the site is illustrated in Figure 2 - Site Plan A detailed background summary for the site was <br /> presented in the Quarterly Report-Januai y 1996, dated 15 March 1996, prepared by AGE <br /> Monitoring and sampling procedures were performed in accordance with guidelines for investigation <br /> ' of underground storage tank (UST) sites established by the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services - EnvironmentaI Health Division (PHS-EHD) and the Central Valley Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) <br /> ' 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> 21 DRILLING AND SAMPLING <br /> ' On 10 May 1996, soil borings B4, B3 and B5 were drilled and completed as_ground water <br /> monitoring wells MW-4, MW-5 and MW-6, respectively MW-4 was advanced near the northwest <br /> 1 corner of,the site, MW-5 was advanced on the northern boundary of the site,, and MW-6 was <br /> established in the City of Tracy sidewalk, on the north side of Grant Line Road <br /> ' All drilling was performed using a truck-mounted CME 75-HT drill rig equipped with continuous <br /> flight, hollow-stem augers The drill rig and two-man crew were supplied by Soils Exploration <br /> Services (SES) of Benicia, California The locations of the borings are shown on Figure 2 <br /> ' Soil samples were collected in each <br /> p boring using a split tube sampler loaded with three clean, 2- by <br /> ' 6-inch brass sleeves A 140-pound hammer was used to advance the sampler 18 inches, the number <br /> of blows required to advance the sampler in 6-inch increments was recorded on the boring logs All <br /> sampling equipment was washed in an Alconox solution and rinsed twice with water prior to each <br /> sampling run <br /> iFor each analytical sample, both ends of the leading sleeve were covered with Teflon sheets, capped <br /> 4 <br />
