INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> In accordance with a request from Mr Bill Jordan, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has <br /> ' prepared tins Quarterly Report summarizing field activities performed at 298 West Grant Line Road <br /> in Tracy, California between February and July 1995 Activities performed included sampling of <br /> ground water monitoring wells,drilling of soil borings, and excavation and disposal of hydrocarbon- <br /> impacted soil The location of the site on illustrated in Figure I A plan of the site is illustrated on <br /> Figure 2 <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> 21 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is located in a commercial/industrial area of central Tracy(Figure 1) The property is located <br /> at the southeast corner of the intersection of Grant Line Road and Parker Avenue One building, a <br /> canopy and a metal storage shed are currently situated on the property (Figure 2) <br /> 2 2 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> 1 itis our understanding that the property was operated as gasoline service station from 1960 to 1980 <br /> A total of four underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed from the site in April 1988 one <br /> ' 1,000-gallon gasoline UST,one 6,000-gallon gasoline UST, one 8,000-gallon gasoline UST, and one <br /> 1,000-gallon waste oil UST The USTs were removed from two separate excavations The first <br /> excavation is located on the west side of the canopy, the second (and larger) excavation is located <br /> ' north of the building <br /> Upon removal of the USTs, soil and ground water samples were collected from the excavations <br /> 1 Laboratory results of the soil and ground water samples indicated the presence of hydrocarbon- <br /> impacted soil and groundwater at the site <br /> 2 3 MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION AND SAMPLING <br /> ' In September 1988, three ground water monitonng wells were installed by Meinfelder, Inc <br /> Laboratory results of soil samples collected during the installation of monitoring well MW-3 <br /> confirmed the presence of hydrocarbon-impacted soil <br /> 1 <br />
