KLEINFELDER <br /> EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br /> This document is a proposal to collect ground water and soil samples at 298 Grantline <br /> Road, Tracy, California, a property owned by Jordan Real Estate This property had been <br /> operated as a gas station from 1960 through 1980. On April 5, 1988, four unused <br /> underground storage tanks were excavated Although product had been removed from the <br /> tanks years earlier, petroleum odors were noted during tank removal Soil and ground <br /> water samples taken at that time showed evidence of contamination The samples were not <br /> collected in accordance with accepted standards and, therefore, the results may not be an <br /> accurate reflection of soil or ground water contamination New soil and ground water <br /> ' samples will be collected, analyzed, and compared to previous results to assess the <br /> presence of contamination. <br /> ' <br /> The installation of ground water monitoring wells is proposed to provide an initial <br /> assessment of ground water quality Soil samples will be taken to assess soil contamination <br /> I The San Joaquin Local Health District (SJLHD) requires that a proposal be submitted for <br /> approval. <br /> ' 121-88-1108 1 <br />
