Unocal Service Station No 6981, Stockton, California Working To Restore Nature <br /> nilsaaznpies.collectedkQrn bonng/we& B-WMW-9 and B-18/PTW-1 were submitted for;% <br /> Leve yses_toaid in well desigrP Results of the sieve analysis are shown in Appendix <br /> C Results of these analyses indicated that the aquifer material was a sandy, partially <br /> cemented silt <br /> Following well installation,a technician from RESNA developed the monitoring wells Field <br /> methods for well development are described in Appendix A <br /> Ground-Water Monitoring <br /> RESNA began monitoring the ground water in wells MW-I through MW-5 in February <br /> 1990, however, ground water has not been present in these wells since October 1990 After <br /> installation of additional monitoring wells in March and August 1992, the new wells were <br /> . added to the monitoring program The purpose of ground-water sampling is to monitor the <br /> fluctuations in concentrations of dissolved hydrocarbons and selected chemicals (if present) <br /> in ground water and to monitor the depth to water and the ground-water gradient The <br /> field methods for ground-water sampling are described in Appendix A The analytical <br /> results of samples collected from the wells are described in detail in the following Site <br /> Conditions section <br /> GeoStrategies Inc conducted the second, third, and fourth quarter 1992 groundwater <br /> monitoring events (GeoStrategies Inc , August 4, 1992, October 7, 1992, and report in <br /> preparation) Their work included measuring depths to ground water, collecting ground- <br /> water samples from monitoring wells MW-6 through MW-13, and evaluating the ground- <br /> water flow direction and gradient beneath the site Copies of their second and third quarter <br /> reports and laboratory analytical reports for the fourth quarter were forwarded to RESNA <br /> and incorporated into this report <br /> • <br /> 38032-10 7 <br />
