It is an addendum to a work plan dated September 12, 1997, for
the above referenced site.
It is stated in the addendum that"soil and groundwater samples will be collected and analyzed as
described in the original GSI Work Plan". That work plan states that a minimum of 3 soil samples
above groundwater will be analyzed for contaminants. Please be advised that soil samples
should be collected and analyzed above and below groundwater. Also a sufficient number of
samples should be analyzed to confirm contaminant definition and to calculate any contaminant
mass remaining.
In addition, to the laboratory analyses proposed in the September 12, 1997, work plan, analysis
for MTBE, DIPE, TAME, ETBE, and TBA using EPA Method 8260 should be conducted.
With the inclusion of the above comments to the work to be performed the work plan and
addendum are approved. Please submit well permit applications (one for the on site drilling and
one for the off site drilling), a copy of the encroachment permit from the City of Stockton for the off
site drilling, and two $89 permit fees. After the permits have been issued, the work can be
scheduled. Please notify PHS/EHD staff 48 hours prior to performing any work, so they can be
present to witness it.
If you have any questions contact me at(209)468-3449.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Margaret L7aagoriio`, Supervising Rg RE`HSS
Site Mitigation Unit U
c: SJCADA-David Irey
SWRCB -Jim Munch
TOSCO-Ed Ralston
Gettler Ryan -Stephen Carter
CVRWQCB-Mark List
Dayton Hudson Corp-Dave Luick
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
