Station No. 6991 <br /> 4707 Pacific Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Report No. 7855.21-1 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Tosco Marketing Company (Tosco), GeoStrategies (GSI) has prepared <br /> this Work Plan to install one groundwater monitoring well and drill one exploratory soil' <br /> boring at the subject site (figure I). The proposed scope of work includes: obtaining the <br /> .necessary well installation permits from San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Division (SJCEHD); preparing a site safety plan; drilling two soil borings and installing <br /> a groundwater monitoring well in one of the borings; collecting soil samples for possible <br /> analysis; surveying the well casing elevation; developing and sampling the newly installed <br /> well and collecting a groundwater sample; and preparing a report which presents the <br /> findings of the investigation. In addition, GSI will attempt to locate well MW-11, <br /> reportedly paved over during the recent reconstruction of the intersection of Pacific Avenue <br /> and March Lane, and will add oxygen.releasing compound(ORC) to well MW-2. GSI will <br /> continue to operate the vapor extraction system (VES), and MPDS Services Inc. (MPDS) <br /> will continue.to monitor and sample the wells on a quarterly basis. <br /> This Work Plan was prepared in response to a letter from SJCEHD (dated August 13, <br /> 1997) requesting a Work Plan for additional work at the site.
