Work Plan Evaluation of Soil and Ground Water December 4, 1989
Unocal Station No. 6983, Stockton, California AGS 33032-3W
The boring to be drilled near the northeast corner of the pump islands will be used to
evaluate the vertical extent of soil contamination in an area where TPH as gasoline was
r
detected above 3,000 ppm. The monitoring well, to be constructed in this boring will be
used to monitor the ground water near the northeast boundary of the site. If the direction
r of ground-water flow is towards the southwest this well will provide groundwater ,
monitoring upgradient of the pump islands and underground tanks.
The boring to be drilled near the northwest corner of the site will be used to evaluate the
vertical went of soil conditions in an area where TPH as gasoline was below detection
limits. The monitoring well to be constructed in this boring will be used to monitor the
ground water near the northwest boundary of the site. If the direction of ground water flow
is towards the northwest this well will provide ground-water monitoring downgradient of
the pump islands and underground tanks.
The boring to be drilled near the northeast corner of the underground storage tanks will
be used to evaluate the vertical extent of soil conditions in an area of the tank cavity and
pump islands where TPH as gasoline was detected above 1,000 ppm. The monitoring well
to be constructed in this boring will be used to monitor the ground water within ten feet.
of the underground tanks. This monitoring well can provide monitoring of the ground
water upgradient of the underground tank..if the direction of groundwater flow is towards
14
