• Working To Restore Nature <br /> 3164 Gold Camp Drive <br /> Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 <br /> Phone (916) 852-6690 <br /> Fax (916)852-6688 <br /> I <br /> PROBLEM ASSESSMENT REPORT <br /> at <br /> Unocal Service Station No 6981 <br /> 4707 Pacific Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br /> for <br /> Unocal Corporation <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Unocal Corporation, RESNA Industries (RESNA, formerly Applied <br /> GeoSystems) has conducted subsurface environmental investigations at Unocal Service <br /> Station No 6981, 4707 Pacific, Avenue, Stockton, California Our investigations to date <br /> have included observing removal of three underground storage tanks (UST's), drilling 14 <br /> onsite soil borings and five offsite soil borings, installing eight ground-water monitoring <br /> wells, one pumping test well, and four vapor-extraction wells onsite and five monitoring <br /> wells offsite, collecting and analyzing soil and ground-water samples, and conducting an <br /> aquifer pumping test The purpose of our investigation was to assess the soil and ground <br /> water for hydrocarbons and other selected constituents and to evaluate the hydraulic <br /> characteristics of the water-table aquifer Results of our initial investigations indicated <br /> hydrocarbons were detected in soil and ground water at concentrations that warranted <br /> delineation, therefore, further work was conducted to delineate the vertical and lateral <br /> f extent of hydrocarbons in soil and ground water <br /> 38032-lo <br /> t <br />
