Unocal Service Station #6981 <br /> November 28, 1994 <br /> Unified Air Pollution Control District (SJVUAPCD permit to operate number N-3335-1-0 <br /> Copies of the Authority to Construct and Permit to Operate are included in Appendix B. <br /> The VES was brought online on September 22, 1994 Ms Diane Doran and Mr David <br /> Kemana of the SJVUAPCD were present to observe system startup, measurement of the <br /> various system parameters, and collection of samples Gettler-Ryan Inc (G-R) of Dublin, <br /> California, collected samples from the VES influent and effluent vapor streams The <br /> calculated influent flow rate from the well field was 143 standard cubic feet per minute <br /> (scfm), the system total intake (well field influent plus dilution air) was 231 cubic feet per <br /> minute (cfm), and the calculated effluent flow rate was 293 scfm VES operational data <br /> are summarized in Table 3 Collected samples were submitted to the Sequoia Analytical <br /> laboratory located in Redwood City, California (ELAP #1210) <br /> CHEMICAL ANALYTICAL RESULTS <br /> Chemical analytical results for dispenser island samples UT-1, UT-2, and UT-3, and <br /> stockpile samples 5-0802-1, 5-0802-2, and SC-0802-3 are summarized in Table 1 <br /> Chemical analytical results for the VES influent and effluent vapor stream samples are <br /> summarized in Table 2, and VES data are included on Table 3 Copies of the Sequoia <br /> Analytical Laboratory reports and chain-of-custody forms are presented in Appendix C <br /> Chemical Analytical Procedures <br /> All soil samples were analyzed for TPHg and BTEX by Environmental Protection Agency <br /> (EPA) Method 50301801518020 Stockpile samples 5-0802-1, 5-0802-2, and SC-0802-3 <br /> were also analyzed for total lead by EPA Method 6010 VES influent and effluent samples <br /> were analyzed for TPHg and BTEX by EPA Method 8015 Modified/8020 <br /> Soil Chemical Analytical Results <br /> TPHg and BTEX were not detected in product dispenser island samples UT-1, UT-2, or <br /> UT-3 <br /> Stockpile Chemical Analytical Results <br /> TPHg and BTEX were not detected in stockpile samples 5-00802-1, but total lead was <br /> detected in this sample at a concentration of 10 parts per million (ppm) TPHg, benzene, <br /> and ethylbenzene were not detected in stockpile sample 5-00802-2, but toluene and xylenes <br /> were detected in this sample at 0 0070 and 0 017 ppm, respectively The total lead <br /> concentration in this sample was 13 ppm TPHg was detected in the samples from the <br /> 4855701-1 4 <br /> GeoStrategies Inc. <br />
