According to Mr. Gary Turner, Chevron Pipeline Company; the facility <br /> is a high pressure 6-Inch diameter pipeline constructed in 1°65 to convey gasoline and <br /> diesel fuels. He reported that no problems had been experienced with the pipeline. <br /> According to a San Joaquin County Notification of Hazardous Waste Discharge <br /> dated April 24, 1987 the pipeline was ruptured by a backhoe operator at the'!Intersection <br /> of Corral Hollow Road and Grant Line Road approximately 1/2 mile east (downgrad€ent) <br /> of the site, The spill was cleaned up under. jurisdiction of the SJDEH. <br /> 2, Interstate 205 <br /> Interstate P05 bisects the study area in a northeast-southwest direction. <br /> Freeway construction was started In 1968. At our request, Mr. Bob Ikeda, CalTrans, <br /> researched 'readily accessible records which date from 1979. He found no record of any <br /> accidents Involving hazardous materials within the Immediate vlcinity of the study area. <br /> 3. - WetSide- 1 rriclation tri t Dlt h <br /> The ditch conveys Irrigation runoff from farms east of the site to the San <br /> Joaquin River and recycling pumps. According to G. Reents-land D. Wescott, RWQCB, <br /> most of the water is recycled as irrigation water. Discharges into the river are monitored <br /> because of high levels of pesticides, nitrates, and total dissolved solids. RWQCB tests <br /> on water from drain tiles tributary to the ditch Indicate low concentrations of metals, <br /> Including selenium. <br /> 4.
