I
Dividend Development Company July 22, 1991
Report of Findings - North Parcel Page 11
LABORATORY TESTING:
A. Soil and groundwater samples were analyzed for:
1. Total Petroleum H drocarbons TPH b DOHS Method 8ol5M
This method uses gas chromatography coupled with flame !
5 I
ionization detection to identify and quantify fuel
hydrocarbons, characteristic of diesel fuel and gasoline.
2 . Aromatic Volatile Or anics. b EPA Method 8020 i
This
gas chromatographic method identifies and quantifies
aromatic compounds that are characteristic of gasoline
contamination. This method quantifies benzene, toluene,
ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX) , and speciates
these constituents relative to the Total Petroleum
Hydrocarbons (TPH) (reference Appendix. B) .
DISCUSSION OF RESULTS:
77
Test results are delineated as follows:
I
1. Field Surve t organic vapors were analyzed routinely
during drilling operations. Organic vapors were detected
in the general soils zone between five and fifteen feet
(5 ' and 151 ) in all wells except MW-1 and MW-5. The
highest organic vapor measurements were encountered in
MW-2 and MW-3 . The peak count registered at two hundred
parts per million (200 ppm) TPH in both MW-2 and MW-3 .
Field results from organic vapor analyses are located on
the Boring Lags in Appendix B.
is
Toxic Technology, Inc.
