(Geomatrix) <br /> regarding Geomatrix's February 17, 1999 Soil and Groundwater Investigation Report and <br /> Site Closure Request for the subject site, you requested clarification on the following: <br /> 1) The sample name on one of the chromatograms included in the report was crossed out <br /> and another sample name was handwritten in. You requested a written explanation of <br /> who made that marking and why. <br /> 2) You requested clarification on the U.S. EPA Region IX preliminary remediation goal <br />( (PRG) for chrysene. <br /> In response to your request,please find enclosed a letter from Friedman and Bruya(the <br /> i analytical laboratory who analyzed soil and groundwater samples from the subject site) <br /> explaining why the sample name was changed on the chromatogram. As shown on Table <br /> 3 (attached), the U.S. EPA Region IX PRG for chrysene is 56 mg/kg.
