Weber Street,.Third Floor
Stockton,CA 95202
Soil and Groundwater Investigation and Site Status Report
Mansfield Property
Tracy, California.
Dear Mr..Infurna:
Enclosed please findthesubject document for your review. The report summarized the results of
soil and groundwater investigations conducted at-the site. The lateral and vertical extents of
petroleum-hydrocarbon-affected soil in the site subsurface have been defined. While low levels
of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene; and xylenes(collectively referred to as BTEX) and several
polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)have been detected in.site soil, the concentrations of
BTEX and PAHs are several orders of magnitude less, than.their respective:.U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency Region:IX Preliminary Remediation Goals: This indicates that the presence ,
of these constituents in soil-at the site, including the potential for, additivity due to multiple
constituents do not pose an unacceptable risk to the health on-site residents.
There were no dissolved.petroleum constituents detected in the grab groundwater samples
collected downgradient of the affected-soil.. During field activities Chevron Environmental
Management Company(Chevron)was unsuccessful in collecting a grab groundwater sample
downgradient of MB-1.-(i.e:,the-boring was:dry), Chevron proposes to collect this dowrngradient
sample to finalize the assessment . Chevron will.schedule the work upon receipt of your
approval.
Please note that I have been transferred to Chevron Environmental Management Company,
please direct all future correspondence:for, this project to the.klowing'address:
Chevron Environmental.Management Company: I
60018ollinger.Canyon Road
P.O.
