GRANTLINE ROAD,TRACY, CALIFORNIA
SITE#2441
Dear Ms. Meays:
As requested in your November 18, 1991 letter to Bob Robinson of Doane Products
Company, the scope of work of this project has been changed to reflect the stated
cleanup level. Based on the initial investigation, the soil hydrocarbons appeared to
be well confined and revised excavation quantities should be approximately as
estimated in the workplan. Excavation will be continued until the requested
cleanup level below the detection limits for hydrocarbons is reached or economic
factors require consideration of alternative remedial methods.
Also as requested, a copy of the remediation workplan has been forwarded to the
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board. This copy includes the
corrected table summarizing previous. analytical results. The corrected value of
Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as diesel of 85 ppm was included for seep wafer
sample taken at the time of tank removal. Please find enclosed a copy of the
amended Table 1 frpm the-workplan.
After the completion of the soil excavation, BAI will initiate the requested sampling
and development of the wells and piezometers on the site.
