Grant Line Road IN REPLY REFER TO SITE CODE: 2441
Tracy, CA ;
San Joaquin County Public Health Services,Environmental Health Division(PHS/EHD),has completed their
review of the submittal entitled "Report of Finding, Subsurface Investigation prepared by Bruning
Associates, dated April 29, 1991.
The following statements were made in the above report:
"DPC had two septic systems immediately north of the tank site. The septic tanks are still in place,
but not connected to the plant sewer system and are not in use. The yard rest room is currently
plumbed to the main plant with water and sewer service buried to the north of the building."
Septic systems are conduits which facilitate contamination migration. Such conduits must be properly
destroyed to prevent migration of contamination. Either verify that the septic systems have been destroyed
or follow the proper procedures for their destruction.
Please include sampling of piezometers P-1 and P-2 in quarterly groundwater monitoring to show that
contamination has not moved to the west or east of the tank pit Please note that this office requires 48
hours notice prior to any site activity, including sampling.
If you have any questions, contact Mary Meays, EHS of my staff at (209)468-3441:
Jogi Khanna, NZ., M.P.H. r;
Health Offi 6
f
Laurie A- Cotulla, RENS, gram Manager
Environmental Health Division
r LAC/MM:nr
c: Doane Products -Bob Fagundes
450 E.
