1
CHRONOLOGY
474 W GRANT LINE, TRACY
8/25/86 Three UST's removed without PHS/EHD inspection on 8/24/96
(3000 gallon regular, 2000 gallon unleaded, and 2000 gallon
premium). Water was in the excavation so a water sample was
collected. A fourth tank was discovered and removed this date
(350 gallon waste oil). Numerous holes were noted in the tank and
there was oil on top of the water that was in the excavation. A grab '
water sample was collected.
12/31/86 PHS/EHD received the sample results from the grab water samples
collected on 8/25/86 from, the tank pits. Both water samples
evidenced contamination.
5/9/94 The site was placed in LOP.
1/5/96 Six soil borings were drilled and 3 were converted to monitoring
wells. Nine of the soil samples collected from the borings were
analyzed. The soil sample from SB3 at 6 feet below grade i
evidenced soil contamination but the soil sample collected from this
boring at 11.5 feet below grade did not evidence any contaminants.
SB3 was just north of the fuel tank location. SB1 and SB2 were 4
drilled in the tank pit and the soil samples did not evidence any I
contamination.
1/8/96 The 3 monitoring wells were sampled and the results were non
detect. MW3 is with 10 feet and down.gradient of the former waste
oil tank location. MW2 is within 15 feet and down gradient of the
former fuel tank locations:
3/25/97 The 3 monitoring wells were sampled a second time and the results
were non detect.
6/19/97 PHS/EHD determined the site is low risk and should be closed.
P
