August 26, 1987 AGS 87053-1
Reynolds and Brown, Tracy, California
Benzene appears to be present in ground water at levels in excess
of drinking water standards, it will be necessary to perform
additional work in order to assess the extent of ground water
contamination. This would probably best be accomplished by
establishing an array of at least three monitoring wells, so that
the down-gradient limit of contamination can be determined. The
proximity of ground water supply wells and potential usage of
ground water in the area should also be evaluated. Applied
GeoSystems would be pleased to provide you with a detailed work
plan for such an assessment with your authorization.
LIMITATIONS
This report was prepared in accordance with generally accepted
standards of environmental geological practice in California at
the time this investigation was performed. This investigation
was conducted solely for the purpose of evaluating environmental
conditions of the soil with respect to hydrocarbon product
contamination in the vicinity of the former tanks. No soil
engineering or geotechnical references are implied or inferred.
F Evaluation of the geologic conditions at the site for the purpose
of this investigation is made from a limited number of obser-
7
}
Ajoplied GeoSystems
