Report of subsurface environmental investigation
associated with product storage tank removal, 724 Grant
Line Road, Tracy, California.
Ms. Reichenberg:
i
A geologist from our office was present at the above-referenced
site on August 20, 1987 to collect four soil samples and one
ground water sample from beneath two former underground storage
tanks at the above-referenced site. These tanks had been used in
the past to store diesel fuel. Ramcon, of West Sacramento,
California, conducted the tank removal operations and was
responsible for notifying the appropriate local agencies. a
Four samples were collected from soil at a depth of approximately
14 feet (approximately 2 feet below the tank bottom) . The soil
samples were analyzed for extractable hydrocarbons, and for
volatile hydrocarbons and hydrocarbon constituents (benzene,
ethylbenzene, toluene, and total xylenes) . These analyses are
required by the San Joaquin Local Health District for tank
removal investigations. Results of these analyses show no
detectable contamination of the soil below the tank. The ground
water-sample collected from the bottom of the tank cavity showed
only very low levels of hydrocarbon contaminants. Copies of all
laboratory records of analyses are included in this report_
Copies of this report have been forwarded to Mr. W. R. Snavely,
of the San Joaquin Local Health District. If you have any
questions concerning the information presented in this report,
please do not hesitate to call.
Sincerely,
Applied GeoSystems
Andrew P.
