Clayton <br /> LN41IH0:N1AENTAL <br /> CONSULTANTS <br /> f <br /> r <br /> Clayton completed excavation of approadmately 1650 cubic yards of soil and on <br /> aeration as summarized in our report, Soil Excavation and Aeration for Interlard <br /> Corporation'° dated October 19, 1990. This report was submitted to the required <br /> regulatory agencies. <br /> li During excavation, a 504-gallon concrete septic tank was discovered. Clayton <br /> obtained a permit for the removal of this tank. The tank was removed on August 17, <br /> ' 1990. <br /> Monitoring well MW-3 was destroyed to approximately 10 feet bgs during soil <br /> !A excavation activities. The well was previously installed to a depth of 25 feet bgs. <br /> Approximately 15 feet of the well was covered with the backfilling of the excavation <br /> pit. <br /> Th.e San Joaquin County Public Health Services (SJCPHS) stated no further soil <br /> remediation was required at thesite based on our findings, but requested additional <br /> groundwater monitoring and proper abandonment of monitoring well MW-3 and the <br /> domestic water well, as stated in their letter to you, dated November 1, 1990 <br /> (Appendix A). <br /> UATMN <br /> 3.0 EMMINYMIMM <br /> t Clayton commenced field activities for the installation and sampling of the additional <br /> monitoring well at the site on January 8, 1591• We properly abandoned monitoring ,•': <br /> we'll MW-3 and the domestic water well on the same day.
