r Harding Lawson Associates May 18 , 1992 17060, 025 . 03 The Southland Corporation i. 5820 Stoneridge Mall Road, Suite 310 Pleasanton, California 94588 Attention: Mr. Bud Good Manager, Environmental Services Gentlemen: Results of First Quarter Monitoring, 1992 7-Eleven Convenience Store 455 Grant Line Road Tracy, California This letter reports the results of groundwater monitoring by Harding Lawson Associates (HLA) for the first quarter of 1992 at the 7-Eleven convenience store, 455 Grant Line Road in Tracy, California. The site is shown on Plate 1. This report describes the field procedures used and presents the results of chemical analyses, comparing them with previous chemical data for the site. BACKGROUND HLA was retained to perform a soil and groundwater investigation at the 7-Eleven store in November 1987, following an underground tank leak. As part of that investigation, we installed 15 monitoring wells on and immediately adjacent to the site (Plate 1) . The results of our multi-phased investigation were submitted in a "Problem Assessment Report" (PAR) dated January 10, 1989 , to the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) and the SJCDPHS. That document also included the results of a feasibility study and recommendations for '-' remediation. In March 1989 , the underground tanks and fuel dispensing facilities were removed from the site. During these activities MW-A and MW-7 (formerly MW-B) , near the tank backfill, were destroyed. The remaining 14 HLA wells were left intact. An updated remedial plan, as requested by the SJCDPHS, for treating groundwater and vadose soils on the subject site was submitted in a "Soil and Groundwater Remedial Plan" dated January 30, 1992 to the SJCDPHS. r..
