The site is shown on Plate 1. This
report describes the field procedures used and presents the
' results of chemical analyses, comparing them with previous
chemical data for the site.
BACKGROUND
HLA was retained to perform a soil and groundwater
I investigation at the 7--Eleven store in November 1987,
## following an underground tank leak. As part of that
Investigation, we installed 15 monitoring wells on and
' immediately ad3acent to the site (Plate 1) . The results of
our multi-phased investigation were submitted in a "Problem
Assessment Report" (PAR) dated January 10, 1989 , to the
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB)
f1 and the San Joaquin County Public Health Services,
Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) . That document also
Included the results of a feasibility study and
recommendations for remediation.
In March 1989 , the underground tanks and fuel dispensing
' facilities were removed from the site. During these
activities MW-A and MW-7 (formerly MW-B) , near the tank
backfill, were destroyed. The remaining 14 HLA wells were
left intact.
Engineering and 1355 Willow Way Suite 109 Contort!
